Annual GYN checkups

It’s important for all women to have a yearly GYN checkup and Pap smear. This preventive measure is crucial for detecting early signs of cervical cancer by collecting cells from the cervix and checking for any changes that could lead to cancer if left untreated. Additionally, a Pap smear can identify other cervical and vaginal issues, such as inflammation or infection. If any abnormalities are detected during the screening, further diagnostic tests or procedures may be recommended to ensure the cells are not cancerous.
